Customer Reviews Acorn Faux Chinchilla Bootie II

Oh. Em. Gee. These are uh-mazing. I mean, I've never been moved to write a footwear review, ever. Partly because I have terrible feet that always hurt and are always, always cold. In these, my feet aren't cold. And they don't hurt. And neither does my back. This is probably one of the top five favorite purchases I've made in my life, ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Acorn slipper-making people. I usually take wide sizes but these were fine. (I was a little worried.)

I have been searching for slippers with support and warmth. I have bought dozens of slippers and they have never lasted a month. These are darling on, but the best is the support. You can wear these slippers all day and not have aching feet. I have washed them several times and you would not know it. The color remains vibrant and the chincilla retains its fluffy look, does not mat like other faux furs. Five stars does do justice to these booties.

Was worried that the high top would rub against my ankles, but it adjusted to my feet pretty quickly. Very comfortable, warm but doesn't make my feet sweat. Just washed them in the washer on gentle and am air drying. So far they look good as new. Excellent slippers!

Customer Reviews Acorn Slipper Sock

Best slippers ever! These are the warmest most comfortable slippers I have ever owned. They are also extremely long wearing and I love the fact that they are machine washable!

Finally. I have cold wood floors and am always cold. I have been wearing tall fuzzy socks, but the cold seeped through the bottoms. Now? Toasty warm feet and calves. They are flexible, breathable and you can fold these down like a sock or wear them up the calf. I have very narrow ankles and calves and am not sure how someone with thick ankles or calves could comfortably get these on on. I bought my 6 year old a pair too and he loves them. He also has narrow feet.

Acorn Slipper Sock - These are warm and cozy slipper socks - for the leg and ankle as well. The only problem is that the socks seem to stretch and make the slipper feel very loose. I just washed them and I am not sure I was supposed to do that. They turned out well, but are still damp. The top slipper part shrank. We will see if that helps the fit.

I absolutely love these slippers! They are warm, sturdy, and comfortable. I would give these as gifts and when I need a new pair, I am coming right back for these. Maybe in a different color...

Very attractive slipper in a wonderful mulberry colorway. Unfortunately, neither the 10 or 11 fit and will be going back. But not for want of trying! Rating is for the size 10.

Once they're ON, they're GREAT. As I write this, the high today is minus 2 degrees, so keep that in mind. I wear these with socks, so I have to push my toes into the very end of the slipper and then ease my heel in. It is WORTH IT. My slippers are pretty new, so I think they'll get a little more pliable over time. And they are so PRETTY and WARM! The no-skid rubbery soles also let me sneak outdoors for minor tasks without changing shoes. I stopped wearing mules because, unless they are a fairly tailored design, I have had them slip off my feet on carpeted stairs and scare the heck out of me. These are a better and safer design.

These slippers are so cute and comfortable (I'm wearing them right now!) and unique. After buying a pair for myself I bought two more for Christmas presents.

I usually love Acorns and own the slide version of this slipper and love it. But after buying this high-top version elsewhere (sorry Zappos) I was really sad to find that it was quite uncomfortable and will return it. While the boiled wool is beautiful, the edge around my ankle is very, very scratchy and wore quite a red welt around both ankles in a very short time. Admittedly, I have somewhat sensitive skin, but this isn't the comfort I'm looking for at the end of a hard day. Everything else about the slipper is fine. But if I had to wear them long enough to "break them in" my ankles would have bled.

Customer Reviews Acorn Faux Chinchilla Collar

PROS: Warm and cosy. Very reasonably priced. Washable. Bonafide arch support for over-pronators. Wouldn't do for all-day wear, but will keep you from aggravating or causing Plantar Fasciitis when worn for a few hours/day on the weekend, for instance. The outsole works to walk outdoors briefly, flexes where it needs to and not where it shouldn't, and provides a small amount of cushioning. CONS: Not as cushioned as I expected. The foam under the faux fur insole is very low density. Basically you bottom out to the outsole as soon as you stand up, if you weigh more than a housecat.

But the outsole itself cushions a bit. The faux fur insole can't be removed for washing. You can only wash the entire slipper. POINTS TO CONSIDER: These are a bit bulky appearing. Some women like that in a slipper, others don't. They are cut for "low volume feet". That means the depth of your foot from the top to the sole needs to be on the thin side or you'll have a hard time getting into these. The size Large fit my size 8 1/2, medium width, low volume foot perfectly. The snugness around the instep enhances the arch support. For me they are a good value for the purpose, and overall I'm glad I got them.

Per usual, Zappos has done it again! I have never been disappointed through the years with the quality of Zappos' products. These gorgeous slippers fit perfectly -- especially with socks. I live 7,000 ft. high in a ski resort and we are now covered in snow. The rubber soles allow me to step outside in the snow without getting wet. They're so warm, too! Ha! On Jeopardy the other night a question was: "Based on the Spanish word for "shoe," (zapato) what is the name of an Internet Co.?" I screamed, "Zappos!" and I was right! Buy this slipper. You won't regret it. Love you, Zappos!

These felt a bit snug at first, but seemed to stretch and fit well as soon as I started wearing them (which was immediately!). Wear them all around our country house and out into the yard as needed. Very comfy, and cute.

These are great slippers! I normally wear a 7 or a 7.5 in a shoe and these are a perfect fit. Just enough room in the toe area so that my toes don't bump up against the end of the slipper. I have high arches and these are just fine in the support area. I bought the chocolate multi and they're really great looking. I've had several pair of Acorn slippers over the years and they never disappoint!

This is my second pair of Acorn slippers. Wore the first pair out in about 2 years wearing everyday. Love them! The rubber bottom/outer sole is perfect for walking out in the garage or fetching the paper in the morning too. Perfect sizing and they mold to your foot the first day you put these cozy, warm numbers on!

Customer Reviews Acorn Oh Ewe II

I dislike reviews that start "Got these a week ago..." as I like to know what happens after. I got these as a gift for Christmas 2009 from my mom-in-law, who didn't want me to slip on our new wood floors carrying my 10 month old. They were a bit tight to begin with - I could only get a 7, and am normally a 7.5, but they were pretty comfortable from the start. As I look down at them on my feet close to two years later, they look perfect from top-down. However, if I look at the sides, the soles have split from the suede on both outside edges. This happened after the 365 day returns, but I can (and do) wear them quite a lot.

They fit well, are very warm - no socks required, the soles allow me not to slip on the wooden floors and I'm able to run outside if I need to. Once the stitching holding on the soles split, I was able to take out the innersole (which had started to crumple uncomfortably) and just have the memory foam inside, so no arch support. I'm looking for another pair of Acorn slippers for this Christmas (thanks in advance, Mom-in-law) and while I'm considering another pair of these, I have to admit I am tempted by the faux chinchilla ones. A good slipper, don't know about value for money, as for the price I would expect more than two years out of them, but definitely am considering another pair of Acorns.

I've tried several different brands of bootie-style shearling slippers before settling on these, and these are by far the best I've encountered in terms of quality, comfort and fit. Extremely cozy on your foot, the shearling lining is nice and thick inside, but the footbed is true to size in length so they are extremely comfortable. I wear size 7 shoes and my 7 slipper is a perfect fit. Someone else said the leather smells like vanilla -- this is true! These are extremely well made, so while they cost more than some other shearling slippers, I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. It's a relief to find something worth spending the money on! These are divine. Easy to buy as a gift too because they run true to size.

Customer Reviews Acorn Via Wrap

So cute, and flexible. I love these with jeans. They have good cushioning, and are comfortable. True to size. However, it did take a week to break the heel in on the left side. It rubbed a little, but after a few times it fits perfect.

I purchased the charcoal/teal pair and love them. They're very comfortable! The slip-on nature makes them a great fit for my lifestyle (we take our shoes off inside and with 3 kids I'm always in & out of the house) and the elastic keeps them on my super-skinny feet. It's so hard to find cute shoes in 11N and most mediums just fall right off me, so I was stoked to find these. I've had several compliments on them as well. The lining is my only complaint. On the plus side, it's very soft and cozy, so you feel like you are wearing slippers.

But it's so cozy they make my feet sweat if I wear them on warmer days. I think they'd be useless to me in summertime here in TX, but they're still worth it even if I wear them only in cooler months. And the lining is white - whose idea was that?! I ended up having to walk through some really loose dirt in them and they got totally filthy, so I'm not sure they'd look this bad under normal use, but still! I'll try to hand-wash them and see how that goes.
